Our Garden
Long before we had a house, we had a garden!

When we moved to the property in 2022 the land was completely raw - and we lived in our fifth wheel. But even though we didn't have a house to live in, the only project we took on that first year was building the garden. Who needs a house when you have a garden?
In hindsight, we're glad we did it this way. The garden gives us a ton of joy and is a big source of pride. And the fresh vegetables, fruits, and berries keep our family happy all year long.

Depending on when you're here you may be able to help yourself to berries, fruits, and vegetables from the garden. We'll let you know what's available during your stay, but if you have any questions please ask before helping yourself!

But that's no surprise... we had no luck with plums when we lived on Vancouver Island, either. |
![]() We'll definitely grow more carrots in 2026. We used the last of the 2025 carrot harvest at Christmas dinner. | ![]() | ![]() Our 7,000+ square foot garden is completely protected by an 8' elk fence. |
